So much of our life is caught up in material possessions and money. We all need it to live. It is said that money is the root of all evil, I disagree. Just like guns don't kill, people do. Money in the hands of sinners is evil. It's not the money,its the people that are evil. Some people have way more than they can handle. So many have a lot less than they need. In my life, I have always found I have enough. God actually promises that in his word:
Look at what Luke 12:22-24 says about His provision.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!"
I have never gone without food, clothing, or shelter. God has certainly shown his love and that he values me over the birds. God will give us what we need. He wants us to rely on him. Even through the pain, he will provide and ultimately give us the rich gift of eternal life. Worry about money and finances can overwhelm our families, if we let it. God has things under control in your life, if you rely on him. This applies to all parts of your life, money included!
