I loves the television show "Are you smarter than a fifth grader?" . It was amazing to see intelligent, educated people, unable to answer even the easiest question. My favorite is when a lady could not remember the name of the country north of the United States. I have seen reporters on the street ask some really simple questions and multiple people unable to answer. I am equally amazed when people don't know who Jesus is.
Who is Jesus?
The truth is you have only two choices. You either believe he is the son of God or you reject him. Some people try to say he was a great teacher or a profit. He was. But those are only characteristics of his life. Wise people try to explain away his life and his impact the past two thousand years. Scholars and educated people see no proof. They reject what they can not see. All of life boils down to one simple question? Do you believe Jesus is the son of God? If you believe yes, then your life will be amazing. If you say no, you will be put to shame. You will be dismayed and trapped, trapped in death with no future.
When Jesus comes again, those "wise" people will perish. They really have no wisdom and no future. The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the Lord, what kind of wisdom do they have? (Jeremiah 8:9 NIV)
Dear Lord, help me reach the wise and arrogant. Help me be the example of your life. Help us deliver the scholar that rejects you to replace you with "science". May your spirit live within me to serve the lost. Thank you Jesus for your love, patience, and kindness!
