Soon and Very Soon

And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:5-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When I read these verses I automatically went to this song. I love this little spiritual medley. It is, somehow reassuring. I am not looking to die any time soon. I just don’t think God is done with me yet on this planet. But I am looking forward to my Heavenly home. Reading this chapter in Revelation fills me with the same anticipation of Christmas morning or waiting for a big event. Like our closing this week..

In four days we will be at a milestone in our lives. We have joked that we will be homeless. But we do have a beautiful home with much less debt. It’s all part of a plan that God placed on our hearts a few years ago. We are excited to see this huge step come to pass.

God is so amazing. Trust him. He has a perfect plan for your life. If you let it happen, you will live you life in child like anticipation.  Part of that great anticipation is my Heavenly home. Jesus has gone to prepare a place, our heavenly reward. It will come down to us. God will live among us. I can’t wait. Soon and very Soon, we are going to see the King.

Soon and very soon
We are going to see the King

Soon and very soon
We are going to see the King

Soon and very soon
We are going to see the King
Hallelujah, hallelujah
We're going to see the king

No more cryin there
We are going to see the King

No more cryin there
We are going to see the King

No more cryin there
We are going to see the King
Hallelujah, hallelujah
We're going to see the King

[Bridge:]
Should there be any rivers we must cross
Should there be any mountains we must climb
God will supplt all the strength that we need
Give us strength till we reach the other side
