I am not my own

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; (1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV)

I am not designed for selfishness. However, I put a lot of effort into making myself happy. My entire body belongs to The Lord. My purpose is to worship and serve the creator of the universe. Everything I have is of The Lord. When I use those gifts and blessings for selfish reasons it is against the will of God. 

Thank you Lord for blessing me beyond all that I could imagine. I beg your forgiveness for my selfish attitude. Help direct my life for you. Help me to see opportunities to serve you and act on those. Help me to use all the gifts and blessings I have for you.
