Wisdom!

Acts 6

 ⁸ Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people. ⁹Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called)—Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia—who began to argue with Stephen. ¹⁰ But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.


I have talked about wisdom often. But, Wisdom is one of my favorite things to pray for. I don't think I am particularly smart. I did great in College and had a great GPA. I earned honors when i graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, but I still don't think I'm smart. 


To me, wisdom is better than being smart. Wisdom has a whole lot more to do with knowing God than an I.Q. Oh, to be wise and full of the wisdom from God. Just like Stephen, if you are fortunate to gain wisdom, no one can stand up to you. Once people realize you possess wisdom, you will be a busy man. God is the creator of all things and possessor of all wisdom. 


Please dear Lord supply me with wisdom when I work, when I am with my family, and when I make decisions. Lord grant me a small piece of your perfect wisdom to look at the choices I have an know which is of God and which are not. Please Lord grant me wisdom in speaking to those who do not know you. Give me wise words when looked to for counsel. Grant me wisdom Lord. Amen!
