Psalm 24 (New International Version, ©2010)
1 The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it; 2 for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.
3 Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD?
Who may stand in his holy place? 4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.[a]
One owner! In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. He created it, but he didn't give it away. God created us. and we are his. Just because he has given us free will to decide our future, doesn't mean he has given us away. He holds us accountable for our choices and we may even be punished for eternity. But, we are still his. The world is his.
So many of us think we own our homes, our cars, our MOTORCYCLES, our clothes, our money, whatever! But HE OWNS it. There is not enough room in this world for two owners. There is not enough room in this world for two GODS! There is only one God and he owns it all. Yet, God, through his grace, allows us to climb his mountain. He allows us to dwell with him in his holy place. He lets us use his creation. He will bless us if we choose to live within his conditions. We must work for him, love, and trust only in him. If we do this, he shares his creation in wonderful and fabulous ways. God is the owner but he is so generous with his stuff!
