Revelation 15 (The Message)
1 I saw another Sign in Heaven, huge and breathtaking: seven Angels with seven disasters. These are the final disasters, the wrap-up of God's wrath. 2-4I saw something like a sea made of glass, the glass all shot through with fire. Carrying harps of God, triumphant over the Beast, its image, and the number of its name, the saved ones stood on the sea of glass. They sang the Song of Moses, servant of God; they sang the Song of the Lamb:
The Bible is full of contrasts. Here you see 7 Angels who were "breathtaking" and yet these 7 Angels were carrying 7 disasters. You have Harps, Songs and a sea of glass and you have death and destruction. Our lives are much the same way.
God has given us some wonderful amazing gifts and blessings. He has provided us with the great opportunity of eternal life. Yet, even with these beautiful gifts, the world is full of sin, death, destruction, evil, and pain.
If God had his way there wouldn't be such a contrast. The contrast is not God's choice, it's ours. The sin in our lives has brought us to such a difference between us and what God has designed. The contrast is so distinct that God had to provide a special way for us to get back to him. The contrast is completely eliminated through Jesus.
Dear Lord, Thank you for rescuing us from Sin. We know that we have not followed your plan. We have done so much to separate ourselves from your greatness. Yet, you have never given up on us. Thank You Lord for sending your Son to bring us back to you. Thank you for loving us even when we don't deserve it. Thank You Lord! Amen!
