“But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”” Acts of the Apostles 3:6 NLT. http://bible.com/116/act.3.6.nlt
I think it is interesting that the beggar didn't ask for healing, but asked for money instead. Money would have helped but the root of this mans problem was not lack of money. His thought wasn't for God to do the "impossible" but to just help him get by.
How often do I do the same things? Do I really have faith that God can provide the miracles I need? Or do I just believe those miracles are just from the Bible? God could have given this man what he wanted through Peter. Instead he chose to fix the root of the problems in his life. God knows what we need. He knows our hearts and loves to help those who love him. Sometimes I don't want the possibility of having God dissapoint me so I lower my targets. How much of my lack of faith has impacted my life and others? God knows.
Dear Lord, forgive me for my weak faith. Thank you for giving me what I need more than what I want. I am forever grateful for your love and sacrifice. Amen!

Are you bored with Christianity?
“Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’ “The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’””
Luke 13:6-9 NLT
http://bible.com/116/luk.13.6-9.
God is so patient.
Me? Not so much!
I read an article tonight about why kids are bored in school. Several reasons intrigued me. One of those really struck home when they said school does not give enough instant gratification. Your hard work and dedication to school or a job may not pay dividends for years. Our "video game" society is used to instant success or enjoyment. We stop doing it and do something else. If a kid is not good at a sport or a varsity starter, right away, they quit. They don't want to put in the extra effort and time to develop their skills.
As a Christian, I can fall in to the same trap. I have known some of my biker friends for years and they still haven't accepted Christ. It would be easy to give up on them and move on to someone new. We could become bored with the lack of ACTION on their part. I need to have the same patience as my Heavenly Father has given me. He never gives up on me. He continues to love me unconditionally and works on my heart. His love endures forever is just as much about patience as it is about Gods love. Endurance is about staying the course, providing consistent guidance for the lost.
We may never see the fruits of our work. Someone else might be the harvester. Yet, we need to continue to serve. We need to remain ever faithful and judgment free. We need to endure.
Praise God he has been patient with me and my slow growth as one of his followers.

Ambassador to the world
“So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!””2 Corinthians 5:20 NLThttp://bible.com/116/2co.5.20.nlt
Here are the duties of an ambassador of the United States:
An ambassador is the President’s highest-ranking representative to a specific nation or international organization abroad. An effective ambassador has to be a strong leader—a good manager, a resilient negotiator, and a respected representative of the United States.
And Benjamin Franklin wrote: "The qualities of a diplomat are sleepless tact, unmovable calmness, and a patience that no folly, no provocation, no blunders may shake."
So if we are Christs ambassadors we need to represent Christ just like our country's ambassadors represent the President. We need to do so with tact, calmness, and patience. We are pleading for the lost to come back to God. We are ambassadors in a foreign land and our mission is of eternal importance. We have to have credibility and we need to be pure in heart. We can't be hypocritical and we need to live like Christ. It takes time and patience!
Dear a Lord, Speak through me. May I be a good ambassador for you. May I work tirelessly in your service to share the message of salvation. May I bring peace and joy to a world filled with chaos. Amen!

Don't Judge'm , just Love'm!
“Then the Lord said, “You feel sorry about the plant, though you did nothing to put it there. It came quickly and died quickly. But Nineveh has more than 120,000 people living in spiritual darkness, not to mention all the animals. Shouldn’t I feel sorry for such a great city?””
Jonah 4:10-11 NLT
http://bible.com/116/jon.4.10-11.nlt
I sure don't know what Jonah had against Nineveh. He despised them. It's a good thing God loved them enough to force Jonah to.minister to them. It's such a tragedy tha Jonah had no desire to preach to this group of lost. To the end he was grumpy about his calling. How's your attitude about ministry?
Confession: I have been a grump at school.
It's the end of the year, kids are shutting down and just not being productive. I feel great when I arrive at 7am. By the time I hit 3:00, I'm done. But, in our prayer group on Monday, I prayed for joy and patience. I prayed God would change my attitude. I still need to minister in these last days of the school year. This week has been so much better. My joy is returning. This ministry I call work, is not meant to be a drudgery. No ministry for the Lord is meant to be a downer. Just like Gods call to Jonah, we are meant to share love so that others will see Jesus in us. How can we do that as a grump?
It's impossible!
Motorcyclist ministry is the same. I could get "ticked" pretty easily if I look at the crazy decision these bikers make. I could treat them like crap when I see their destructive habits and twisted theology. I could refuse to share because, in my opinion, they just don't deserve it. Do I deserve Gods love? NO!
I'm not supposed to judge'm, I'm supposed to love'm.
I am to look past the sins just like the Lord looks past my sins. It's so easy to look at someone else's sins and forget our own, both past and present. We can not let our attitude destroy our witness and our love of Jesus.
Dear Lord, continue to fill me with your joy. Continue to help me witness with my actions and my attitude. Let my life for you shine. Amen!

Obsession!
“They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you." 2 Peter 2:19 NLT. http://bible.com/116/2pe.2.19.nlt
I hate it when I don't feel I have control of a situation. Today I watched a dozen of my GHS students participate in a mock distaster. Our EMT students were asked to take charge, control, a chaotic situation simulated by other students and area EMT's. It was chaos just like it would be if a real event occurred. The students performed wonderfully. I could not have handled it as well. I hate being in control of chaos.
I hate to admit it, even though I love to be in control, I also have a tendency to let "things" control me. I can easily obsess about anything and everything. Yes, I have been a slave to those things that DO control me. Many times these things interfere with my service to the Lord. I can obsess about school, a plan, a vacation, a schedule , or purchasing something. I can be a slave to that obsession. When I'm on a mission, watch out. Don't interfere. If you do, I might treat you like "crap", not at all like a true Christian.
I /We can not let our obsessions control us. We must turn everything over to Christ. We need to obsess about serving the Lord, not the stuff of this world.
Dear Lord, heal me of my obsessions. Help me turn my entire life over to you. It will only be through your grace, mercy, and power that I will be able to follow your plan for my life. I need you! Amen!

THRIVE!
“So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.””Acts of the Apostles 9:17 NLT
http://bible.com/116/act.9.17.
You just have to love Ananias. He not only listened to the call, he acted. He faced down one of the most notorious persecutors in history and saved him. It would be like approaching the leader of ISIS and healing him. I don't know too many people going into the mission field to share the gospel with the Taliban.
We do need people to share God's love with the entire world, even our Muslim brothers and sisters. But most of us are not asked to take that dangerous and bold step. We ARE asked to share Jesus with our coworkers, friends, and certainly our families. That shouldn't be as intimidating as witnessing to Saul, but I know it feels like it. Just a thought though......... DONT YOU WANT TO SPEND ETERNITY WITH YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND COWORKERS?
What are you afraid of?
Get you story straight. Has Jesus changed you or not? Don't you feel the call to share your joy?
Aren't you just exploding from the inside when you think about how Jesus has changed your life?
If you can't tell specifically how Jesus changed you, is he real? If you don't feel his power in every bone in your body, are you dead?
I gave my life to Jesus as an early teen. I was awkward, and nowhere near the person I am today. God has given me confidence and helped me to lead a life as an overcomer. Barrier after barrier has been destroyed in my life. I have faced financial ruin, I have faced family crisis, I have faced job problems, and I have faced loss. I can look back and say how did I do that? Then I realize it would have been impossible without God. I have been blessed with abundance, love, family, and health, not by my will but by the hand of Jesus! My loving savior is my deliverer, my protector, and my rock. I can face life with no fear because of the almighty hand of God. I would not thrive without him. I am thriving. I am blessed beyond measure. I can't hold it in!

Giving Up!
“Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”
Luke 9:23 NLT
http://bible.com/116/luk.9.23.nlt
I love my church. County Line Church of God is grounded in the Bible and clearly wanting to bring people to a relationship with Jesus. Around 40 people gave their lives to Christ last weekend. Pastor Stu pointed out something I had never thought of about this verse. The disciples, when they heard these words, would have had a completely different view than we do. Jesus hadn't died on the cross yet, so they would not have that vision of giving your life for others. They would have viewed the cross as a tool of submission to the Roman Empire. Taking up your cross would mean submitting your life to Christ and truly devoting yourself DAILY to his mission.
I have to give up my own selfish ambition. I have to give up control. My life needs to focus on Jesus, not money, not recognition, not my own plans. Following Jesus means carrying my part of the load in spreading the gospel message. I can't sit by and watch others do it. When I deny myself, I give room for Jesus and the eternal blessings that come with service to him.
Dear Lord, thank you for my church, the wonderful worship, and the messages I receive. I know I need to take up my cross and follow you. I know what that looks like and I pledge my life to that purpose. I praise you for the gift of salvation and the life you have placed before me. I love you and want to serve you in all that I do. Amen!

Our ministries are all different!
“As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.””
Luke 10:38-42 NLT. http://bible.com/116/luk.10.38-42.nlt
Yesterday was the big Arcola Bike Blessing and my CMA family was out in force to love and share Jesus. It was still pretty cold out and my loving wife didn't let that bother her. She found a way to minister from the warmth of the fellowship hall. We all minister in different ways. God has gifted us with ministry that is unique to our own lives and personalities. Some are bold and work the crowds, others prefer one on one. Still others are gifted with service. Others are gifted with finances. Ministry happens in so many different ways.
I can't sit still and I have never met a stranger. I love just going up to a biker and start a conversation about anything and everything. I love praying with bikers. I love visiting with them in the hospital when they need us. I love talking bikes, bike trips, and most of all Jesus.
God has designed my wife for one-on-one ministry. She quietly serves and shows great love to the people she talks with. It's not flashy. It's not in your face. It's still a powerful ministry. While I stood in front of the crowd of over a thousand bikers yesterday and read scripture, she met with several people, one-on-one, and shared Jesus. She talked with former students about issues in their lives, she talked to fellow CMAers about some trials they are going through. She talked with strangers and just quietly went about doing Gods work. It looks like I am doing more ministry because I am in the public eye. I really think we need more people like my wife, serving quietly, and sharing God's love.
It's easy to criticize people if "they" don't minister like you do. It's easy to judge others about their lives and wether they are effective in ministry. But, we all have a UNIQUE calling and We are just required to obey the call. We answer to God, not man!
Dear Jesus, thank you for my wonderful ministry. Thank you for giving me a wife that loves to share Jesus. She has obeyed your call and been a light in this dark world. My entire CMA family has a ministry that matches the uniqueness that God has built into our hearts. You are amazing and I love the special people you have put in my life! Please continue to watch over us as we continue to serve for you! Amen!

My mission TODAY!
““O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.””
John 17:25-26 NLT

Heading to hangout with area bikers! I know some of them know the Lord. Many do not know him. I echo the prayer of Jesus. I am sent for one purpose, to bring them to Jesus. Love and service to those who need it, that is my mission today.
Dear Lord, send me the lost today. Help me be your hands and your feet. Give me words and love to share. Amen!

Joy and Peace
““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.””
John 16:33 NIV
http://bible.com/111/jhn.16.33.niv
It is just not easy to maintain your joy and be at peace. There is so much turmoil in the world. There are so many things to steal my joy, if I let it. I can not let that happen. Jesus gives us the strength and power to overcome the world. I do not have too let work drag me down. I don't have to let finances drag me down, or illness, or broken relationships, or loss.
The death AND resurrection of Christ is proof that we can overcome the world. When we accept Jesus as our Lord we receive his power and might. We can overcome all the troubles we face in this world.
Dear Lord, thank you for loving me enough to die for me. Thank you for giving me the strengths to tackle the trials I face each day. I feel your love and the joy that comes from knowing you. I have peace in my heart only because of you and I am filled with the desire to serve in that peace. Thank You Lord! Amen!

Grapes
““I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.”
John 15:1-4 NLT
http://bible.com/116/jhn.15.1-4.nlt
I am fascinated with grapes. First of all they are delicious. But my fascination goes beyond taste. They are uniquely made and a well trained Gardner has a lot to do with the yield of the grape vine. Grape vines are more productive if they are not left to grow wild. They grow better with the care of a Gardner. The Gardner needs to cut away the bad spots to increase growth.
My God is my Gardner. I am just like the branches of the grape vine, I need trimmed back so I can become more. All of my growth comes from spending time and connecting with Jesus. He is my vine, the source of my life growth. I think most people seek a productive life, they want to be more tomorrow than they are today. That can only be sustained when we let God prune our lives. Yes, sometimes it's painful, but great things come out of that pain. I trust God to care for me with love and grace. He will allow some pain and some sorrow so I can grow and produce good fruits in my life.
Dear Lord, I love you. I am proud to serve you. I am thankful that when you see areas of my life that need changed, you initiate that change. I dedicate my life to your service and invite you to make me a better servant. My life is yours. Amen!

Amen!

It's not enough!
“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.””
Matthew 28:18-20 NLT
http://bible.com/116/mat.28.18-20.nlt
These verses have really been on my heart lately. I feel that I'm not doing enough. Are you? What do you do outside the church? Have you ever asked someone if they would like to know Jesus? I have always been about living as an example for non-Christians. I try to love everyone, including the lost. I try to be a servant leader and try to build bridges to those that live a life outside of the family of Christ. Is that enough? All is lost if I don't look for opportunities to directly lead the lost to eternity. So many people I see throughout the day will not even witness an alter call at church. When will they get the opportunity to choose? I may be there only chance.
Dear Lord, Lead me to the lost. Give me the heart to ask others if they want to take the step to know Jesus. Give me the boldness, open my eyes, and give me the words to bring others with me into eternity. I am blessed by your presence and I want everyone to receive those same blessings. Amen!

Sit back and watch!
““If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you. I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth. The godless world can’t take him in because it doesn’t have eyes to see him, doesn’t know what to look for. But you know him already because he has been staying with you, and will even be in you!”
John 14:15-17 MSG
http://bible.com/97/jhn.14.15-17.msg
I'm not sure we grasp the inspiration of this statement. God is always with us, through the power of the spirit. God has a great desire to be with us and reveals himself through the presence of the Holy Spirit. The world does not understand this idea of a Spirit that is alive and active in our lives. They do not see the presence of God through the Holy Spirit. I get so excited when I see the spirit of the Lord active in my life. Every single day I can see the Lord moving.
If you do not feel the Spirit of the Lord active in your daily life, you need to change. You need to get on your knees and pray for your Heavenly Father to send the spirit to fill you from the inside out. Then you need to sit back and watch. Your life will change forever.
Dear Lord, I am so thankful you are with me every day. I never have to be alone. I never have to make decisions or challenges on my own. Continue to fill me with your Spirit. Direct my life. Lead me on the path you have set before me. I love you. Amen!

The road
“Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You’ve even seen him!””
John 14:6-7 MSG. http://bible.com/97/jhn.14.6-7.msg
The school year is in the home stretch and my eyes are fixed on the final plans for vacation. I love planning our annual trips. There are so many options and I love the challenge of taking the right roads to see as much as we can in a short time. There really isn't a perfect route, but I keep looking.
I've stopped looking for a perfect way to live. I've found it. I'm not saying I am perfect. I'm saying I have found the perfect path, through Jesus. There are no OTHER real options. That's what Jesus said. There is only one road and it's through him. I have taken so many different detours, side roads and off-beaten paths through my life. They all looked so inviting. They were all dead ends. My savior has laid out a perfect route. A route that leads me to blessings and peace and a route that is an adventure to be enjoyed every day. Turmoil is found everywhere when I drift or head out on my own. Praise God for his love. Praise God for the plan he has set out before me.
Dear Lord, I love you. I praise you for the joy you have given me. I am excited for my future. I am excited that you care so much for me that you have planned my life day-to-day and minute-by-minute. Thank you Lord! Amen!

A hard days work?
“When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.”
Luke 5:4-7 NLT
http://bible.com/116/luk.5.4-7.nlt
Sometimes life is just hard. Ever since the fall of man we have been toiling, laboring, to live a life of abundance. I had a perfect day off yesterday and had quite a bit of work to get done outside. Planting bulbs, hauling dirt, spreading mulch, and cleaning up. It was a great day but I have to admit, I was tired. But the day was not over. I quickly showered and headed to Auburn to be with my CMA family and then some fellowship with a couple of dear friends. Yes, I was tired but I also was blessed and the entire day was so complete!
This story about Peter and his fishing buddies really puts things in perspective. They had fished all through the night, laboring, tired, with no results. Then Jesus spoke. They had the choice right there to make an excuse and quit, or follow the Lord. The results, even through their exhaustion was bundance beyond all measure.
Follow Jesus! Follow him even through the labor and toil of your life. Heed hi voice even when you are weary and ready for a nap! My CMA devotional said we need to work even harder for the harvest. We need to double our efforts to save the lost. We need to share the Lord and go deeper just like the fisherman in the story. The reward is eternal!
Lord, I praise you through all things. I praise you through the joys and hardships of life. Forgive me for not working hard enough for your kingdom. Give me strength to serve you even when I think I can't go on. You are amazing Lord. Praise God for his love! Amen!

Betrayal
“After he said these things, Jesus became visibly upset, and then he told them why. “One of you is going to betray me.””
John 13:21 MSG
http://bible.com/97/jhn.13.21.msg
Holy Week is full of many ups and downs. It's easy to overlook the turmoil of that final week. The betrayal had to be so painful for Jesus. He knew it was to happen, but that didn't make it any easier. I can only imagine. Yet, I think all of us have experienced some degree of betrayal, none that I know of have lost their life because of it. It hurts at all levels. Have I betrayed anyone in my past? I can't remember but it's always possible. Our sinfulness causes us to do very hurtful things. We can't hold grudges against those that hurt us. We can only hope for forgiveness as we hurt others. It doesn't do any good to harbor resentment of our enemies or those that betray us. God is our example. His son sacrificed his life for us even though we have sinned against him. The grace of God forgives us and we can move forward without regret.
Dear Lord, I praise you for the love and forgiveness you have given me. I am so thankful and humble when I celebrate your sacrifice on the cross. Guide me in my deeds today. Guide my words that they might be an inspiration to others and not hurtful or mean. Focus my life on your mission. Fill my heart with your presence. I love you Lord! Amen!

My prayer for the last 6 weeks of school
“Jesus said, “If you’ve had a bath in the morning, you only need your feet washed now and you’re clean from head to toe. My concern, you understand, is holiness, not hygiene. So now you’re clean. But not every one of you.” (He knew who was betraying him. That’s why he said, “Not every one of you.”) After he had finished washing their feet, he took his robe, put it back on, and went back to his place at the table. Then he said, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You address me as ‘Teacher’ and ‘Master,’ and rightly so. That is what I am. So if I, the Master and Teacher, washed your feet, you must now wash each other’s feet. I’ve laid down a pattern for you. What I’ve done, you do. I’m only pointing out the obvious. A servant is not ranked above his master; an employee doesn’t give orders to the employer. If you understand what I’m telling you, act like it—and live a blessed life.”
John 13:12-17 MSG

We are in Holy Week. The most treasured time in my faith walk. This is where faith meets action. Jesus gave us the perfect example of servant leadership. He lived a life and died with one thing in mind --- serving us! I am working to do the same.
It's that crazy time of year again. We have six weeks of school, tensions are high due to testing, a crazy busy schedule of annual end of year activities, and tiredness from being on the go. My greatest peace comes through the scripture and my greatest inspiration comes through Jesus and his death on the cross. Peace comes over me when I realize Jesus is with me. He has rescued me from total loss and I know I can survive because of him.
Dear Lord, provide peace and rest for my fellow teachers and administrators. Give us the patience we deeply need this time of year. Give us rest as the schedules fill up with an overwhelming number of activities. Help us to maintain our focus on helping students even when we are weary. Help us to maintain a caring and loving attitude. Help us to rely on your power and might to serve just like Jesus did. I love you Lord! Amen!

What? No complaining or Arguing?
“Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.”
Philippians 2:14-15 NLT
http://bible.com/116/php.2.14-15.nlt
We had a great message last night from our National Evangelist, Jay Wilbur, at our CMA "Bikers for Change Rally". It struck me that I need to be different than the world? Am I? Some one you can verify that I am different! LOL! But, does my life portray a life that Christ wants me to display? Sadly that doesn't always happen for me. I get wrapped up in the things of this world. I argue with those that disagree with me. I complain about too many things and too many people. During the political craziness of last fall I created too many enemies by my posts and editorial comments. That is not what I'm about.
Statement of fact: I love you dearly even if we might not agree on everything or, actually, if we don't agree on anything.
That includes family and friends. I don't hate anyone. But isn't it just like hate when I don't show them any love. If being a Christian is about loving your neighbor, is it ok just to ignore them? Is that love? What would Jesus say about that?

Flooded with light!
“Jesus replied, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in daylight doesn’t stumble because there’s plenty of light from the sun. Walking at night, he might very well stumble because he can’t see where he’s going.””
John 11:9-10 MSG
http://bible.com/97/jhn.11.9-10.msg
God is always with us. He longs for us to rely on his light. He can keep us safe. He can provide strong protection from evil, we just have to ask. My life is a perfect example of that. I have walked in darkness, not because God wasn't with me, I didn't ask for his help. I thought I could handle it on my own. After 56 years I am more aware than ever before that I can not do it on my own. When you walk in his light the answers to life's questions become so clear. We can see obstacles before they create major problems and we are flooded with the warmth of his presence. Thank you Lord for the light you shine on my life. I praise you and rejoice I do not have to tackle the challenges before me on my own!
Dear Lord, All I can say is you are amazing. I praise you for who you are. I am humbled that you care about me as much as you do. I certainly am not worthy but accept your protection, your shield from evil. I pray that some protection and guidance for my family and friends. Reveal yourself to them and flood them in your light and love. Amen!

Do you know how much God loves you?
“Jesus answered, “I told you, but you don’t believe. Everything I have done has been authorized by my Father, actions that speak louder than words. You don’t believe because you’re not my sheep. My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them from out of my hand. The Father who put them under my care is so much greater than the Destroyer and Thief. No one could ever get them away from him. I and the Father are one heart and mind.””
John 10:25-30 MSG
http://bible.com/97/jhn.10.25-30.msg
Do you know how much God really loves you?
If you can't answer this with an unequivocal YES! You need to get down on your knees and pray! If you don't know, if you haven't seen the love of your Heavenly Father active in your life you need to seek the God I serve. Really, I can't even begin to share the love God and his Son have shown me. I am protected, not from bad things happening in my life, but from the evil of this world. There is nothing I can not endure or overcome. The blessings and the good in my life overwhelm me. Evil is snuffed out and I am looking forward to that same abundance of blessings and love in eternity. Praise God!
Dear Lord, I praise you for answered prayer. I praise you for guidance through my daily life. I praise you that I have been blessed with plenty, love, and grace. I praise you for my family, their love of you and the peace I get in knowing they are one of your flock. Help us to see your presence everyday of our lives and we rejoice in the knowledge that you are our shield, our comfort, and our life. Amen!
